LCI Service Projects

Ladies' Circle has been a service organisation from its very beginnings. Every two years we choose one International Service Project (ISP), nominated by a member country, and support it together with our time, commitment and fundraising.

Help Schools Foundation

Introduced by Ladies' Circle Sri Lanka

Help Schools Foundation is a children-first education initiative based in Sri Lanka, dedicated to giving every child the chance to learn, no matter where they are born. The Foundation focuses on communities where schools are under-resourced and where children overcome daily hardships simply to attend school.

It supports under-resourced schools with what they need most: safe classrooms, toilets, desks, chairs, clean drinking water, IT labs, shoes, stationery and other essentials. By working hand-in-hand with local partners, volunteers and communities, the Foundation removes the everyday barriers that make learning difficult and helps to create environments where children can learn, grow and dream with hope.

The Foundation's key strengths are its visionary leadership, its commitment and a dedicated volunteer base across Sri Lanka. So far it has carried out 12 projects in different parts of the country, with donations of more than Rs. 9.5 million benefiting more than 2,000 underprivileged children.
